this one, for now.

look at my clips.

to build something bigger than the Hearst Foundation, whom stole the Phantom.

Bakshi, Toth, Fleischer, Steranko, Kirby, Frazetta, Gibson, Gaiman, Moorcock, Moore, Miller, Goodwin, Murnau, Castle, and that's the short list...

I buy it as I need it. for animation, I have what I need. Which for the most part AIN'T software.

Think of the bastard child of Noel Coward and Rasputin raised by Ida Lupino and Rod Serling. That's me.

Very organic, passionate is an understatement.

Been a festival finalist with an animated short, worked for all the major comic book companies, been in contact with a head honcho at Focus Features, painted and drawn things that made people stare and go into a trance, written dialogue that made them laugh out loud (physically), illustrated scary stuff that (literally) caused nightmares. I still get royalties.

Been in print, still in print, been on DVD, and signed a LOT of contracts, including a long, wordy one composed by WB attorneys. Take note of that.

I work hard but bite the backsides of charlatans and con-artists even harder, so don't contact me expecting to con someone out of free work using a bad contract, I knew about ancillary rights and copyright and trademark when I was 19 years old.

Hi EDP,

Sorry it took me so long to reply - this message system is a bit funny in that you have to click on my profile and post the message there, otherwise I don't even know your sending me a message and it looks like you're talking to yourself!

But I assume the message below was for me - if not, well, I'm sure you enjoy reading my ramblings anyway ... and I certainly enjoy writng them

So here we go.

Ch 31 - well, we'll send it to Hollywood first and if that doesn't work we'll settle for Cannes.  You think I'm kidding   No, we'll get it shown at as many festivals and events as we can and if Ch 31 is one of them that's cool with me.

Is the Melbourn show your referring too Studio A?  Hey, I was the Tape Operator on that show for a while and had a blast.  Joined the crew of another student offering this week in fact - Kaleidoscope.  Don't know if it'll be any good but I know I'll have fun!

And to me, that's the most important thing.

Sweet,

Ivan.

so, is that current film you're editing for the "Ghost" folks, ala Ch. 31?

I love their show in Melbourne.  The host is a HOOT and a half.  Clearly  influenced by early/classic Karloff, Lorre and Lugosi.

Not so much Cushing or Lee, even though I'd wager he was an equal FAN of those two, but more INFUENCED by Boris, Peter and Bela.

But you and Pat would know better than I, on that account.

Thanks for the feedback EDP.

I didn't think Planet Terror was anywhere near Rodgriguez's best work but it was still fun, funny, and fantastically violent.  Enjoyed it much more than Death Proof also.

I checked out your animation and I like what you do, especially the gritty style and use of light in mangopawpaw and tuyi.  Good stuff.

Now I won't pretend I know a whole lot about animation but I collaborate with a friend who does, and I know he's a big fan of the 'old school' style (does everything by hand, by choice) and he'll actually be incorporating some animation into the current film we're editing.

Can't wait to see it.

In fact, I'll post it up here when it's done.

Cheers,

Ivan.

I'd like to see what you'd do with a sculpted prosthetic ala Guilermo meets Brian Froud on Bad Acid after Bountess Bathory got her kicks.

Sorry for the delay, some old injuries have acted up and I've been negotiating/developing with someone overseas.

Yes, I have some clips, merely on youtube for now:

Only three on there right now; I'm experimenting with some new technique-combos and looks.  I'm sure you know how that goes.

Some pics are posted too, more to follow.  And yeah, fiery.  You'll become somewhat fiery too, in ten yers, trust me.

But not as crotchety as myself, I'm sure.

Hi,

Fiery profile, this.  Do you have clips posted anywhere?  I would like to see some of your work.  I'm curious
