Bakshi again and always

So, tonight I uploaded a trio of very quick clips, the low-fi stuff I dig and live for. Because I really can't see a way to accept that people that just whack a few rigs together then throw some cyberskins over some mesh, without being able to draw better than a dim 8 year-old with a stick of charcoal and a sheet of toilet paper (and a dim 8 year-old that's semi-comatose on 1960's cough syrup, at that).

Then again, most real artists I know could do more with that charcoal and sheet of toilet paper than the bulk of the Maya Monkeys I've seen anyway (with exceptions, of course).

That kind of thought is where the "Bakshi" bit comes in (and Toth, too).  Both are names well known and beloved to the guy who runs the Melbourne International Animation Festival.

Both are names that almost NONE of the kids attending MIAF knew anything about.  Which is, of course, PATHETIC.

If you're wondering if I'm competing for the "grumpiest bastard on ths site", btw, I'm not.

I already won that contest the moment I was half-way through writing my profile. Heh.

Man, if I choose to make more than a few entries in this thing, I might have to get that Dragon dictation software.

I certainly need to get back to making my own freehand emoticons...

If anyone reads this, I hope you had a great May Day.

Hehehe....You're not grumpy, just a
little frustrated as an artist like the rest of us.
