11 days of shooting now completed, the last 6 have left everyone well and truely wrung out, I think we ended up doing about 80 hrs on set over 6 nights, crew call at 3pm and most wraps were between 5 & 6.30am with the sun coming up! Then sleeping on location without black outs, fortunately it's a very tight crew and everyone has kept their humor, thanks to Ozzie Deverish constantly ad-libing extra lines for every scene. He just can't help himself and has stolen the show so far!
At times it has been hard to contain the laughter whilst the camera is rolling, Jake Reedy, the Director/Writer now recons he has enough material to do a special "comedy cut" version!
921 clips in the can from 59 completed scenes, this is serious gorilla filming!
The Sony XDCam is performing faultlessly and making data wrangling a breeze, with the flexibility of clip review for makeup a matter of a couple of key strokes, plus instant on camera scene recall for checking the take.
Night shoots are done and dusted thankfully, and we all have a couple of days off to reset our body clocks... I hope the MEAA doesn't see this!
My wife just told me I am looking a bit 'hung dog'!
5 days to go before the street scenes and it's a wrap and I will be hunting for the next one...
